About essexdance dance.tech

In 2000 essexdance put in an application to the Regional Arts Lottery Programme for the advancement of the innovative area of dance and emerging technologies, through a project entitled dance.tech.

The project includes:

• an associate artists scheme for five artists working with dance and technology,
• a range of dance and technology workshops and labs for the community, education and professionals
• access to equipment.

essexdance is now home to ReActor motion capture, the first of its kind in Europe purchased purely for use by artists. This is a very exciting period for essexdance and for those involved in the range of activities that take place as a result of its work.
