A Level Set Dance INSET
4th February 2008 10.00am - 4.00pm
Led by Rosalind Weight
Focusing on the 2007/08 A Level Modern Set Dance work that is
a part of a student’s final assessment, participants will be taught
the principles for delivery, choreography and movement qualities, methods
for teaching and some all important tips on what the examiner will be
looking for.
Teaching Dance to Key Stage 3 and Upwards
Led by Robert Gentle of essexdance
Contemporary dance is the most profound style on the national
curriculum and learning this style is absolutely essential for pupils
wishing to attain the higher grades in the GCSE dance courses and beyond.
This course will identify the core principles of contemporary technique,
methods for teaching, and much more.
Leading Dance for Older People
With Norfolk Dance’s Laura Anderson
Learn how to embrace the difference in dance and deliver to the older
client group. The issues arising in this group will be covered in the
day, including health and safety and common effects of aging, movement
ideas, using props with dance, lesson planning and much more.
Leading Inclusive Dance to Disability Groups
Led by StopGAP Dance Company

This training looks at adapting your regular dance practice or
starting a new dance practice for mixed ability groups. Exploring common
special needs, health and safety of working with such groups, lesson plan
ideas, inclusive vocabulary, and more.
